First meetups must always happen at licensed independent cafés, parks, public studios, or popular trailheads. Never agree to meet in private residences or secluded locations.
Plota activities are designed around small squads (3–8 explorers). Experiencing city activities together in a group setting creates a more relaxed, social, and safe atmosphere.
Plan how you are getting to and from the venue independently (metro, auto-rickshaw, or personal vehicle). Avoid accepting rides from people you have only just met.
Keep all communication on Plota or verified group chats. Never wire money, transfer advances, or share sensitive personal passwords with other members.
Before heading out on a morning trail or evening jazz gig, inform a friend or family member about where you are going and what time you expect to wrap up.
If a plan feels uncomfortable, you are never obligated to stay. Excuse yourself calmly and leave. Our team is always here to back you up if something feels off.

Active explorers unlock 'Verified Local' badges by attending curated activities and receiving positive community vouching.
Plota strictly prohibits private or home-based first meetups. All activity matching—whether pour-over coffee cuppings, pottery workshops, or sunset ridge walks—must occur at designated public commercial venues or documented recreational public parks.
You can flag any user profile, activity broadcast, or message directly through the in-app flag icon or by emailing safety@plota.in. Every report is reviewed by our dedicated human moderation desk within 12 hours.
We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy. If a member engages in harassment, unauthorized solicitation, or boundary violations, their account is instantly suspended, their active match links are revoked, and repeat offenders face permanent device and phone number bans.
